The back has 10 eyelets and lots of hidden snaps.

I’m so excited about this season of completion. I have several projects that have been left undone for years. I started this dress for Luba for her sweet 16th birthday using Butterick pattern 6630. The pattern is available at Amazon. – Butterick Patterns B6630 Misses’/Misses’ Petite Coat & Dress, Size 6-8-10
I managed to get the dress together for the party, but didn’t finish the lining or add all the lace. I wanted to have it re-done in time for Christmas 2011, so I started to take it apart in November to re-sew it. I added all the lace and the lining. Due to quite a bit of hand-sewing, it took me a little longer than anticipated. I complete the dress on January 16…after having oral surgery! Luba is so delighted. Her smile is worth all the effort.

Her dress fits the vintage backdrop.

Prepping for a Christmas concert

Drake and I have been playing brass off and on for the past two years. Yes, people get a big kick out of the fact that a 5’2″ lady plays a tuba! I’m playing a Jupiter 582L Concert 4 Valve BBb Tuba…talk about a powerful mellow sound. :-)

 

We played Christmas carols on Main Street in Etna, Dec. 21, 2011.

Another finished project! I continue to knit while listening to Daily Audio Bible everyday. I found this fun yarn at a local store called New to Ewe in Etna. It comes as a double-strand knitted square that I had to separate and roll into balls. This pattern is an easy sock pattern that I found online. Comfy and fun!
