Scott Valley Theatre Company

The Scott Valley Theatre Company needed help this year to upgrade their web site. This company managed the historic Avery Theater in Etna, CA. They needed to be able to keep their web site current with their upcoming events. I have had fun working with this group!

Shasta Valley RCD

The Shasta Valley Resource Conservation District has been a client since 2011. They needed to be able to update their content on a regular basis. I was able to redesign their website and train their employees to update the site as necessary. From time to time, the SVRCD needs extra help which I am happy to provide. Brave Heart West Coast

Brave Heart West Coast is one on my nonprofit clients. BHWC is a men’s school and therefore the tone and color scheme needed to be well…manly! This website utilizes WordPress and the Thesis theme. I incorporated a video from YouTube on the main page. From time to time, BHWC holds events and they use Eventbrite to sell their tickets. Eventbrite keeps a fee for ticket sales, but it is an extremely handy tool and very easy to incorporate.

Cotton Yarn for Bath Projects

Knitted Bath Mitt

I love working with Lily’s Sugar ‘n Cream cotton yarns because they are sturdy and practical. I finished two projects today: a bath mitt and a soap pouch/washcloth. I made the soap pouch the perfect size to hold a “hotel-size soap”. I plan to make several of these little soap pouches to put into my Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes this year. Double Wedding Ring Quilted Accent Piece

I started this double wedding ring quilted accent piece at least 9 years ago and I finished it on February 7, 2012! Here is an example of a project that was 95% done and waiting for that last 5% of effort. If this sounds like you, I want to encourage you to complete your projects. The mental clearing is phenomenal.

Each finished project gives me the courage to complete the next and the next. I usually do a handcraft while listening to a podcast or watching a program; that way I feel super-productive.

Declare a season of completion and watch those finished project fly!

Tea Cozy

I knitted this Tea Cozy using Lily Sugar'n Cream Yarn: Ombres, Summer Splash" target="_blank">Lily Sugar’n Cream yarn (Summer Splash) while watching the Super Bowl. Not only was I delighted that the Giants won, I was thrilled to complete another project! Hurray for the season of completion! Here is a link to the pattern. Luba’s Special Dress

The back has 10 eyelets and lots of hidden snaps.

I’m so excited about this season of completion. I have several projects that have been left undone for years. I started this dress for Luba for her sweet 16th birthday using Butterick pattern 6630. The pattern is available at Amazon. – Butterick Patterns B6630 Misses’/Misses’ Petite Coat & Dress, Size 6-8-10
I managed to get the dress together for the party, but didn’t finish the lining or add all the lace. I wanted to have it re-done in time for Christmas 2011, so I started to take it apart in November to re-sew it. I added all the lace and the lining. Due to quite a bit of hand-sewing, it took me a little longer than anticipated. I complete the dress on January 16…after having oral surgery! Luba is so delighted. Her smile is worth all the effort.

Her dress fits the vintage backdrop.
